SPECIALIST CARE

Live-in care that keeps home life steady all day.

Some people need care that is close by more often. Live-in care means a trusted carer is there to support daily life in the home.

HOME CARE SERVICE

Live-in care

Live-in care can support someone who needs regular help throughout the day but wants to remain in familiar surroundings. It is not the same as continuous one-to-one waking support.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about live-in care

Does live-in care mean someone is awake all night?

No. A live-in carer normally needs uninterrupted rest. Frequent or planned waking-night support requires a different staffing arrangement.

Will the carer need their own room?

Yes. Suitable private sleeping and storage arrangements are normally essential and will be discussed during assessment.

Can live-in care support two people?

Sometimes. Both people’s needs must be assessed so the plan and staffing are safe and realistic.
